| Bridge Tooling |
Bridge Tooling is aimed at providing several hundred to several thousand parts and is used to bridge the gap between prototypes and production part volumes. Parts are injection molded using a range of commonly available injection molding plastics. The chief advantage of bridge tooling is that it provides parts in the production plastic without the sunk cost associated with permanent tools.

The (Bridge) Tooling Process
To produce the tool best suited for your needs, NineDots will use either an aluminum tool, an epoxy tool, or a Ren board tool.
A tool made from Aluminum or Ren board will be machined to create the master pattern. Epoxy molds will be created in a similar manner as with RTV molds (using a pre-existing, or a prototyped master to create the epoxy tool.) The Master will then be used in an injection molding machine to produce multiple parts.
